Author Description

Kate Penney

I majored in English Literature and Philosophy in college and going to class was my drug of choice. A brief rundown of my favorite philosophers and authors: Augustine, Dostoevsky, Kierkegaard, Plato, Slavoj Zizek, Flannery O'Connor, D.H. Lawrence and George Saunders. My favorite filmmakers include Charlie Kaufman, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch and Lars von Trier. After graduation, I did marketing and administrative work for a landscaping company--giving me plenty of experience in blog post writing, social media work and general organizational work--before moving out to LA in November 2018 to pursue a screenwriting career.
